The new Savannah Book Festival ice cream from Leopold’s is here!

As of Wednesday, February 16, Savannah’s favorite creamery, Leopold’s Ice Cream , is honoring the Savannah Book Festival with a new ice cream flavor: “SBF 30,” a creamy caramel with a home-made praline crunch–a new twist on caramel crunch.  A percentage of all proceeds will benefit the festival.

Leopold’s has also temporarily renamed ALL of their ice cream flavors after SBF authors’ books, including: “One Tough Chippy,” a peanut butter chip in honor of Sandra Brown’s thriller, One Tough Customer; “Dooley’s Rose Garden,” a rose petal ice cream named after SBF Sunday Brunch speaker Vince Dooley; and “Savannah Celebrates Tutti Frutti,” Leopold’s most famous flavor renamed for author Martha Nesbit’s cookbook, Savannah Celebrations.

But this sweet new flavor and the special names will melt away after Sunday, February 20, so don’t delay!  Get yourself into Leopold’s on Broughton Street in downtown Savannah to enjoy delicious ice cream and help support reading and the Savannah Book Festival!  For more information or directions to Leopold’s, please visit http://www.leopoldsicecream.com/.
