The Savannah Book Festival has been awarded a $5,000 grant by the International Paper Foundation at a recent award ceremony at the company’s Savannah Mill offices.
International Paper, a long established company in the Savannah area and a global leader in paper and packaging products, is committed to helping the many different communities where their employees live and work. Each year the International Paper Foundation makes significant contributions to a number of local charities and not-for-profit organizations. Karen Bogans, communication manager said, “We are happy to award this grant to the Savannah Book Festival to fund materials designed for young people through local schools.”
In accepting the award, Savannah Book Festival Executive Director Robin Gold said, “We thank International Paper for this very generous grant which will meet the paper needs of our Festival, and will help us in our mission to instill a joy of reading and literature among young people through our SBF@Schools Program.”
