Festival Facts
- The Savannah Book Festival (SBF) is a three day celebration of the written word.
- In 2012 the Festival will be expanded to 5 days to celebrate 5 Days for our 5th Anniversary.
- SBF takes place over President’s Weekend, February 15 -19, 2012 in and around Telfair Square in beautiful and historic Savannah, Georgia
- Over 6,000 people attended the 2011 Festival.
- There are 40 plus bestselling, emerging and local authors each year.
- Over 100 volunteers participate in the SBF.
- Thousands of books are sold over the course of the Festival.
- Wednesday evening will be our Kick Off Celebration with An Evening with Brad Thor, Cocktails and Dinner at the Plantation Club in The Landings at 6PM. Please see the ticketed events page for details.
- Thursday evening will be an Evening with Walter Isaacson at the Trustees Theater at 6:30 PM. Please see the ticketed events page for details.
- Friday evening is the Keynote Address with Pat Conroy at the Trinity United Methodist Church at 6 PM and VIP/Meet the Author Party to follow at the Jepson Center. Please see our ticketed events page for details about the party.
- Saturday from 9:30 AM – 5PM is Author Presentations in the Jepson Museums, Trinity United Methodist Church and tent in Telfair Square.
- Saturday evening is the Authors Only Party to be held at a private home in historic downtown Savannah.
- Sunday is our Closing Address with Guest of Honor, Stephen King at 3:00 at the Trustees Theater. Please see the ticketed events page for details. The event is sold out.
