Savannah Book Festival Spring Event to Feature Anna Quindlen

(SAVANNAH, GA) Pulitzer Prize-winning author Anna Quindlen will headline a special spring presentation for the 2013 Savannah Book Festival this May. Quindlen, who won the 1992 Pulitzer Prize for Commentary, will be the featured guest at a ‘Lunch and Conversation’ event with book signing at 12 noon on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at The Landings Plantation Club on Skidaway Island. Massie Headlines Savannah Book Festival Special Spring Event

(SAVANNAH, GA) Pulitzer Prize-winning author Robert K. Massie is coming to Savannah as the featured guest of a 2013 Savannah Book Festival special spring event. Massie, who won the Pulitzer Prize in 1981 for Peter the Great and the PEN award in 2012 for Catherine the Great, will headline a ‘Dinner and Discussion’ followed by a book signing on Tuesday, April 30, at The Landings Plantation Club on Skidaway Island. Savannah Book Festival Announces Record Success

(SAVANNAH, GA) Over 10,000 devotees hit the pavement and six venues at Telfair Square to see Hoda Kotb, Al Gore, J.R. Moehringer, Gregg Allman, Paula McLain, T.C. Boyle and 27 other outstanding authors during the free all day events on Saturday, February 16. Dave Barry, James Patterson, David Baldacci and Jeff Kinney headlined Special Events that sold out Trustees Theater at each of their presentations. Southern Artist Donates Painting To 2013 Savannah Book Festival

Painting by Laura DiNello(SAVANNAH, GA) Popular Southern artist Laura DiNello has donated an original painting to the 2013 Savannah Book Festival. The artwork will be used as the image of the 2013 Book Festival and will be auctioned via a silent auction during the Festival’s run. The 3’ by 4’ painting, done in DiNello’s signature large-scale, angular style, features a couple reading. The painting will be on display (with the bid sheet) at all Savannah Book Festival ticketed events and all day Saturday in the Festival Information Tent. The winner of the silent auction will be announced at the conclusion of the David Baldacci Closing Ceremony on Sunday, February 17. DiNello’s work has been featured on The Travel Channel and is shown in art galleries in Georgia, Florida and Tennessee. She is featured in Paula Deen’s book Savannah Style. read more…
