E. Shaver Booksellers Presents an Evening with Friends & Fiction

Join 2022 Festival Headliners and celebrate the launch of Road Trip by Mary Kay Andrews at the upcoming live event with Friends & Fiction on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 6:30 PM.

Friends & Fiction is a community of more than 300,000 readers, hosted by New York Times bestselling authors Mary Kay Andrews, Kristin Harmel, Kristy Woodson Harvey and Patti Callahan Henry. In March 2020, all four authors had their upcoming book tours abruptly canceled because of the pandemic shutdown. They met on a Zoom happy hour with glasses of rosé in hand to talk about how they could best reach readers and support independent bookstores while stuck at home, and the idea for Friends & Fiction was born.

In addition to hosting Friends & Fiction, Mary Kay, Kristin, Kristy, and Patti all have thriving publishing careers of their own, with numerous New York Times bestsellers under their belts.

On October 14, 2025, Kristy was in conversation with bestselling author Nicholas Sparks for the launch of his bestselling novel, Remain. This was a special Savannah Book Festival off-season event.
