When physical sustenance overrides your intellectual appetite, trade the pages for plates. Jump into your next story at one of Savannah’s food trucks. A sampling of Savannah’s vibrant food truck scene is conveniently located close to Festival venues. It’s the perfect way to grab a bite and refuel between presentations without missing the literary action.
For your convenience, food trucks will be positioned around Telfair, Wright, and Chippewa squares.
LEOPOLD’S ICE CREAM
For over a century, Savannah’s legendary Leopold’s Ice Cream has been serving up “Good Things to Eat, Good Things to Drink.” From their award-winning, homemade, super-premium ice cream, unchanged since 1919, to their soups, sandwiches, salads, and freshly baked treats, you are sure to find something memorable at Leopold’s.
During the Savannah Book Festival, we partner with Leopold’s to rename delicious flavors in honor of the authors participating in the Festival. Find Leopold’s Ice Cream carts around the squares on Free Festival Saturday for a sweet treat between author presentations.
