Festival Food

Savannah is a food-lovers town! To spice up our Festival Saturday, the Savannah Book Festival partners with a variety of establishments to provide food and drinks to attendees. Perhaps most notable are the array of aroma-filled food trucks parked around Telfair Square during Festival Saturday every year.

While no food or drink is allowed in the Jepson or church venues, concessions are available at The Savannah Theatre.

This year’s Festival Food includes:

Leopold’s Ice Cream

For over a century, Savannah’s legendary Leopold’s Ice Cream has been serving up “Good Things to Eat, Good Things to Drink” in beautiful, historic downtown Savannah. From their award-winning, homemade super-premium ice cream, unchanged since 1919, to their made from scratch soups, sandwiches, salads and freshly baked treats, you’re sure to find something memorable at Leopold’s.

During the Savannah Book Festival, Leopold’s renames its delicious flavors to honor the authors participating in the Festival. Stop by to see how your favorite author is honored. Look for the Leopold’s Ice Cream cart riding around the squares on Festival Saturday to enjoy a delectable snack between author presentations.

Food Trucks

The Savannah Book Festival was the first cultural festival in town to add the aroma and spice of food truck to our festivities. Parked around Telfair Square, these locally-owned rolling restaurants offer a diverse array of entrees, snacks and desserts to feed hungry festival-goers and random folks wandering by.
