Storytelling is just the beginning – Volunteer at the Savanah Book Festival

The Savannah Book Festival is scheduled for February 6-9, 2025. Our Four-day Festival is only possible with the help of over 200 volunteers. SBF is one of the premier literary events in the country. For many participating authors SBF is a dream come true. As an SBF volunteer, you become part of the story.

• Author Signing Tent – Publicist – New Volunteer Position added for 2025 
  After their presentation, assist the author with their book signing at the author signing tent in Telfair Square. This is an outdoor job, working with the guest to identify to whom the book should be personalized, putting that name on a post-it note, placing the post-it note on the “half-title” page and handing to the author.  
• Venue Usher – Protagonist
  Be an SBF ambassador on Festival Saturday and assist with venue transition and audience seating for a morning or afternoon shift as a venue usher.
  Dynamic diplomatic skills and friendly attitude are a plus.
• Logistical Team – Hero/Heroine
  Help the SBF staff get the Festival Saturday venues ready on Friday afternoon/Saturday morning and/or assist with line management for a 2-hour shift on Saturday.
• Author Signing Coordinator – Deuteragonist
  Oversee the author’s signing of books for attendees following the author’s presentation.  Coordinators will provide input to the author to provide an efficient process for the book signing.

Write your ticket as a part of the Savannah Book Festival storyline! Volunteer positions include detailed instructions via email. All volunteers receive a $5 food truck voucher.
